Science Fair Project

I'm in this science class this year that requires us to do a science fair project. It's a third of our grade, too, so it's important. My project is on "Does Microwave Ovens Kill the Nutrients In Food?" I am putting together the board in class tomorrow. My colors are black, silver, and light blue. I'll probably forget to bring something tomorrow; I always do. There is so much more to this than I thought there was. I won't go into details, I'm sure you don't want to hear about more school. I'm having major problems, even though I think I have a strong category. I've never had to do one of these before, but hey, here I am. My teacher doesn't let anything slide, not that I let anything go or anything.... :)

Friends House

I went over to a friends house yesterday. I had a wonderful time! (you know who you are!) She had 4 cats named: Marmalade, Oreo, Maverick, and my personal favorite: Brownie.

Basketball Game

So we played our game last night, and we won.........again. It was pretty weird driving up there though. The wind was blowing so hard, It was scary. I seriously thought that the wind was going to push us off the road. Not to mention that we almost ran out of gas! But on the way back, I comforted myself by thinking "if the wind can't blow me over, it's not going to blow the car over". Anyway, I can't believe that we just have 1 more game. We like need to scrimmage (sp?) some more teams that are better than us. At least we still have OKC. sourpatch

Game Last Night

Our team played a game last night. We won by more than 10, but it was tense the whole game. I kept running into Bekah on one of our plays (twice). Okay, so I have a confession. I did kind of kick the girl kind of on purpose. But any basketball player knows. When the stakes get high, you do what you have to do. An besides, she kicked me first, so we're both even. I learned later it was really obvious. I need to work on my anger management......a lot. Any of you can tell me that. At least it wasn't a foul (or a technical). Oh, and I totally blew my free throw shot. At least it was close. And hey Jess, that must have really hurt!! That girl just came right up and hit you in the face. You looked really stunned. It was really funny though. I guess that girl was going to foul out with one last hurrah! We play another game tonight (against the team we creamed). sourpatch

Bowling League

I am on a bowling league this year, as last. My team is doing farely well. It's really fun, and I enjoy it. My average is about 138, but I bowl higher than that mostly. Averages are sooo annoying. You have to bowl 50 points above your average to raise your average 1. I don't know who came up with that! It's also really good for my muscles, since I have string bean ones.... :) sourpatch

Photography Group

This year, I am in a photography group as part of 4-H. It really has been fun. One day, we went to Kroger and took pictures of the produce. I know, it sounds crazy, and we did get permission. Although it was a little embarrassing, it was very fun and artistic. And a nice hands-on activity... Here are some pictures that I took. I just started getting my eyebrows done this year, an it hurts........bad.

I cut off 12 inches of hair and gave it to Locks of Love.

My Rabbit

This is my rabbit: Raspberry. We used to have some more rabbits and babies, too. She is a white red-eyed Netherland Dwarf rabbit. FYI she has never bitten me. One of our rabbits bit me one time though. It felt like someone stuck a needle in me and pulled it out real fast. Yes, ow!! And it was through denim, too. I had a big bruise looking thing on my thigh afterwards. Dad won't let me get a dog or a cat. The biggest thing that I can get is a rabbit. I guess he doesn't want the mess. And the shots, don't forget those.... Anyway, she's so cute, I thought I'd share...

Sewing Class

This year I am taking a sewing class with my 4-H Group. So far, we have made a cool oven mitt, pair of mittens, bag bag (to hold plastic bags), and we are about to start on a teddy bear. It's really fun, when my sewing machine works... I got a new one for Christmas and have been really excited to use it. The picture is what my sewing machine looks like. We are going to get together and have an all-day sewing workshop to sew our teddy bears. I'm looking forward to it. sourpatch

Basketball Team

I play for the FCA Nighthawks basketball team. We have won almost all of our games this year. In March, my team will be going to Oklahoma City for our championships. Last night we won our game. The other team wasn't very good though. Our colors are black and red. My team members include: Jessica, Hannah, Sarah, Laura, Grace, Darby, Charlotte, Ashley, Bailye, Rebekah, Jen This time I think I got everyone. I better go to bed sometime tonight... sourpatch
