Daily Life
So.... this morning, we had another IBLP class by Bill Gothard. I have really enjoyed taking the class, and have learned much from it. We have another 3 hours left that we plan to do the following Friday. ~ After that, we had some lunch (left over pizza from last night), and drove over to sewing an photography group. For sewing, we all made little pouches. Here is the tutorial: Twelve22.org. They were really, really fun to put together, and a great way to start the sewing group on zippers. The pouch is lined on the inside with brown swirl fabric. Here are some pictures:

(Sorry this picture is so blurry, I couldn't get my camera to focus.)

Pajama Pants
These are the pajama pants that I was working on in sewing class. I especially love the fabric. They're a little wide, but REALLY comfortable. I wore them to sleep in yesterday night. Rachel really helped me a lot on this pants. They were more complicated than I thought, but well worth the effort. Thanks Mrs. Winter and Rachel for helping me on this project!! (For those that don't know, Mrs. Winter is the 4-H sewing teacher).

My Pin Cushion
Okay, so I admit it, I tried making one of those little pin cushions that Rachel made. The first one went like so:
I know! You don't have to tell me it's ugly, I already know. This picture is after Rachel "fixed" it. Part of the problem is I can't sew in a circle so the shape is a little deranged. It's also a little (more like a lot) lopsided. I blame it on the stuffing!! I attempted a rectangle one this morning after school. It turned out well except for the fact that the string doesn't match the fabric. But overall, I'm pleased with it. I made it out of part of a "fat corner" that Mrs. Winter gave me. I used another one of Rachel's buttons also. I whipstiched it close at the end where I stuffed it. At least I think that's a whipstich.... sourpatch

Sewing Group
I had sewing group today again. We started on another teddy bear to donate for a service project. I cut the material with my scissors, and then wipped them off with my fingers. Bad idea. I cut myself. (: That just goes to show you how crafty I am... It's just incredible how stupid that was of me. I'm still trying to get over it...

Sewing Workshop
So we had the sewing workshop the other day. It went well, I guess. We were there for 5 hours total. My teddy bear's nose looks a little derranged. It was a great experience to sew this thing. I have never sewn anything more complicated in my life! I had to follow the pattern *_*. We also had pizza from CiCi's!! Yay! I can't even describe how much I love pizza! Anyway, I joked, and talked, and basically just hung out with friends. I did get a little sewing done though! I promise!
My teddy bear doesn't look anything like the one in the picture. Mine looks like a bear out of Little House on the Prairie. Maybe a little more ugly. Ok, gotta high tail it out a here... :)

Sewing Class
This year I am taking a sewing class with my 4-H Group. So far, we have made a cool oven mitt, pair of mittens, bag bag (to hold plastic bags), and we are about to start on a teddy bear. It's really fun, when my sewing machine works... I got a new one for Christmas and have been really excited to use it. The picture is what my sewing machine looks like. We are going to get together and have an all-day sewing workshop to sew our teddy bears. I'm looking forward to it.
