Today, we had the bowling party. They always have the best party ever! They had hamburgers, hotdogs, and chicken with some other stuff. They gave out awards first. Jessica's and my team won 1st place for our category, but the trophies got mixed up. So we're going to get the plates on the trophies fixed. I was also awarded a plaque for my High Game Scratch of 170. Also a bobblehead trophy for a High Average of 107. They had a lot of really cool doorprizes also. They gave away a lot of giftcards, electronics, board games, water/summer games, etc.... By the time my number was called, there was nothing else I wanted except a beach towel. So now I have a rainbow colored beach towel for the summer time. Zach got a water missile and since Rachel wasn't there, we got her a 3 person water slide. It will go perfect on our grandma's property (since there's a hill). Also, since there's 3 slides, we can all race together. Fun! We also got up really early today to go excercise. It seemed like there was so much more time today than any other. I think we're going to do the same in the morning again. We'll get up at, I know this sounds rediculous, 6:00. We're working on it! I know a lot of people get up at 6:00 regularly, but oh well. It's so much better than sleeping in.... There's 2 or 3 more hours added to the day! Also, Rachel had her competition today. She competed with a "Wildlife" team. This team learns what animals eat, oh wow, I don't even know where to start! She'll have to tell you about it tomorrow! Anyway, off to post on my photo blog: Photography: An Empty Canvas. tootles, sourpatch

Activities
I just realized how long it's been since I've posted. I don't think I've told you about the 4-H scarf making project. The whole 4-H Honor Club got together with their sewing machines and we sewed 80 fleece scarves for, I think, an organization for homeless men. It was for charity; it was also really fun to sew all that stuff! I was scared that my sewing machine was going to give out, too! Yesterday, while I was bowling, I accidentally hit the ball on the inside of my ankle; on the bone that sticks out. It hurt really bad!! I have a bruise there now. Then the rest of the game, I could barely get the ball down there because I was so paranoid about hitting it again. I feel so strange that I haven't been to science class in a whole week. I usually go twice a week. I miss it actually. I have some homwork for that, too. My braces are hurting a little bit today. I had to cut up the pizza I had for lunch into small pieces. But overall it's not as bad as the spacers. I got dark blue on them, since it's my favorite color, but it's a little too dark for my taste. I think I'm going with a lighter blue next time. Does anyone know how to get "paragraphs" into my posts? Even if I type it with paragraphs, it doesn't keep them when I post it. Also, Rachel thinks the music sounds off-tune. What do you think?
Well, I hope everyone has a good weekend!! Tell me what you did with it! ~ sourpatch

My Busy Life
So I haven't posted in a couple of days, I feel bad, it's like a link is missing in my life.... Before I start with the ramblings, "Lewsakura" told me about his website where you look at vocabuluary words and then choose the meaning. Every time you get one right, you "donate" 20 grains of rice to poor people that don't have any food. The rice is supplied by some company. It's a great, fun way to help out. Here's the site: Free Rice. So a couple of days ago, I lost 2 spacers, so we had to go get them replaced. I cried then, too; I feel like saying to myself, "Snap out of it!" I had bowling the other day; so I got to see Jessica's music playing device! It's really nice; and I love the color! It seems like at the start of the year, I was better at bowling, now things are going downhill. Jessica's bowling has improved a lot though! High scores for you! Then on Thursday, we had a packed day with the Physical science, "Newton Derby" starting the day off. I got second place on my car. The one that I took a picture of, isn't the one I ended up using after all. The one I used was a "two story", with room for 2 balloons! Therefore, going farther, because it has more force behind it. I won second place in all categories: speed, distance, & time. Michaela (a classmate), won first, Lewsakura won third, and the only boy in the class, Dylan, won 4th. We also had pizza, cake, and a little "pop" to top it off. Then after that, mom raced Zach off to archery while Rachel was quickly whisked to Honor Society, which we later learned was canceled. Zach did well in archery, hitting a "bulls eye" the first shot. They don't call them bulls eyes, they have some fancy name, but that's what they are. Then Rachel had clogging, of which she enjoys thoroughly. Although she does refuse to give me a demonstration on the art of it all. We need to go watch her sometime.... Today, we had the IBLP class this morning, which lasted a long time. We raced home and got our sewing machine stuff. On the way there, I picked up some pictures that I ordered from the Internet to Walgreen's. At sewing this afternoon, I finished my 2nd teddy bear, but it turned out too horrible to show! Major problems; non-fixable. Then, we had photography. The whole group is doing a scrapbook for the 4-H Club. We all brought pictures and each put together one or two scrapbook pages. That was fun as well. I enjoy making things like that. I myself have a scrapbook, but haven't put much new in it for the past couple of years. I should take that up again.... Afterwards, Mom, Rachel, and I went to Applebees with some lifelong friends of ours. That was very enjoyable. Something wonderful happened: I discovered the bacon cheeseburger. Delish! So my time is running out on the computer, I'll wrap it up here, but not before saying good night to all! Don't let the bed bugs bite, and if they do, get a shoe, and beat them black and blue! 'Til next time ~ sourpatch :)

My MP3 Player
So this afternoon, Mom took me to JCPenny's to get my MP3 player. They were supposed to be on sale 60%, but turned out only 50% off. So I got it anyway. Mom keeps chewing me out because I could have waited and got it about $10 cheaper. Now that I look back at it, I probably should have, but oh well, too late now.... But I am pleased with it so far. It's a 1GB memory, records your voice, plays music (obviously), and some other stuff. I'll have to read up on it in bed tonight. It's a Delstar system. I've been wanting some sort of music playing device for a long time, but now, I have it. I might bring it to bowling, too.... Hopefully to drown out the deafening crash of the balls hitting the pins. Does anyone know what this Fashion Fiesta thing is?? Thanks, sourpatch

The New Public Library & Bowling
Right now, I am in the new public library. They have updated it so much! Although it does not look any bigger than the old one, it is a lot nicer! They have a lot of tutoring rooms and a lounge where you can read periodicals and newspapers. We are going to start meeting here for our sewing group again. We were meeting at the old library, but because of the "move", we were meeting at a local church. I wasn't able to go into the room we're going to be meeting in (because it was locked), but I'm sure it's really nice.... Rachel is exciting because of the big selection of knitting, crocheting, & sewing books. They haven't gotten many more books, but since the library was closed for 3 weeks, all the books were returned. I'll keep typing, because I like the way this keyboard types. Kind of like the way I like certain books because of the way the pages turn. OCD, I know. Also, bowling was this afternoon. I didn't do very well today, but Jessica did wonderful! (kudos to you!) It was funny because I got 108 each game, scratch. We won 2 out of 3 games. Also, I want to go to the rec center for a membership. Except mom wants to go tomorrow so she'll have her make-up on for the picture. Also, there is this program for younger members where we can get our own cards. We have to take a tour like thing so we can use the weight machines. That's pretty much everything that's happened today. Maybe dad will take us out to eat tonight....

Bowling/Errands
Today is Wednesday, meaning that I go bowling this afternoon. We got beaten on all three games, but none of us were playing real well. We're still winning in our category, but not by much now, so we need to keep working at it. After bowling, we went home and then went to a local recreation center to see about getting a membership. We had a membership there about 3 years ago, but now, since I'm older, I can use the weight room. That's especially exciting! We can also start swimming in the wintertime. My grandma has a pool, so we swim there in the summer, although it is in full sun, so it does get a little hot at times.... Later today, we also went to Hobby Lobby where we got materials for a friend's birthday gift and for the craft we're going to make in photography on Friday. We're making a picture frame. The way it sounds, it's going to look really cute. But, we all know I'm not crafty, so you never know! I better go now and assemble the gift. Remember to post daily!!!!(I'm waiting.....) :) :) sourpatch

Bowling League
I am on a bowling league this year, as last. My team is doing farely well. It's really fun, and I enjoy it. My average is about 138, but I bowl higher than that mostly. Averages are sooo annoying. You have to bowl 50 points above your average to raise your average 1. I don't know who came up with that! It's also really good for my muscles, since I have string bean ones.... :)
